San Diego Wedding Photographer // Sarah & Isidore

While a San Diego wedding is still fairly local to me, this one was a bit of a destination for the couple. The bride grew up in the area, but met her groom while traveling and now they live in London. I know I say this about every couple and wedding, but they were the most gracious and beautiful people. I love seeing the love each couple has for each other and the way they celebrate it with family and friends.

Sacramento Newborn Lifestyle Photographer // Baby Audrey

While the majority of my work is weddings and couples, I love the chance to not only photograph families as well, but babies and kids. Some people look for more posed shots and use lots of props, which I can respect, but I offer something a little different. Much simpler, very few or no props, just capturing your day to day life with your family, or the new routine with a newborn. People often describe this as "lifestyle" work.

2017 // Year In Review

This past year has been such an exciting one, personally and professionally. Aside from expecting our first baby, Meredith Lynne Photography has had it's biggest year yet. I feel incredibly grateful for the people I've been able to meet and places I've seen. From an intimate San Francisco elopement to engagement sessions in Yosemite, I love how this job has taken me to some rad places. It's tough to narrow down some highlights but click "view post" above if you'd like to see some of my favorite moments this year.

Bay Area Wedding Photographer // Alisha & Alex

If someone were to ask me the most important tool or piece of knowledge to have to improve their photography, I'd strongly suggest LIGHTING. Knowing how to find and use the light available to you is a huge key that I've noticed help my images. Give me a gorgeous scenery with terrible lighting, and I'd still choose a freeway overpass at the right time of day with awesome light. Lately, I'm fond of catching the sun rays coming from behind some trees and having my couple positioned in front of the trees. It produces some gorgeous light! You'll actually see a few examples of that in this post.

Laguna Beach Wedding Photographer // Erin & Jason

When I think of what an idyllic beach side wedding would look like, I am reminded of Erin & Jason's intimate wedding. It was a sunny yet cool southern California day as they said their vows on the sand surrounded by family and loved ones and some picturesque cliffs. Laguna Beach is home to some of the most beautiful beaches along the California coastline... [con't]

San Francisco Maternity Photographer // Kristen & Deke

Okay, I hadn't shot a ton of maternity until lately and let me just say, I can't believe how I forgot how much I love it. That goes for lifestyle newborns as well. Kristen & Deke were amazing and so much fun to get to know. This poor mama went 2 weeks late before she had her adorable baby boy, and I had them frolicking all over the beach a couple of months prior. The west coast will always be one of my favorite places to shoot... [con't]

Yosemite Engagement Photographer // Melissa & Luis

Round TWO of Yosemite engagement sessions was just as much of an adventure as round one! Melissa & Luis are a rad photography/videography duo and I was stoked to hear they wanted me to do their shoot. I was going to shoot their wedding as well, until baby girl decided to have her due date roughly around the time of their wedding so unfortunately, I knew I had to pass on their big day... [con't]
